Frogparking’s legendary outdoor wireless parking guidance system has been getting motorists in to car parks quicker since way back! The system is perfect for surface lots and rooftops – so a parking provider can have the same system for indoor and outdoor delivered by one provider!

The system automatically monitors car park occupancy and displays live information to motorists on variable message signage, the mobile app, and the dashboard to allow them to make an informed and quick decision about where to park.

By installing a small Frog sensor in each parking space, Frogparking’s dazzling parking management platform automatically monitors every parking space in real-time. The sensor information is sent wirelessly using FCC compliant radio communications to the solar-powered wireless gateways. All communications use SSL encryption to keep data safe.

Wireless gateways receive sensor information and communicate it directly to the Frogparking cloud in real-time using GPRS or Ethernet. They are designed to blend into the environment well, keeping visual street clutter to a minimum.

Each wireless gateway can manage between 50 – 100 parking spaces, depending on car park layout and is installed onto existing infrastructure, for example, lamp posts.

To keep the system fresh and current, any updates or enhancements to the system are wirelessly sent to the sensors and the gateways – so the system is future proofed.

We know not all car parks are created equal, so Frogparking has designed a range of sensor options to suit the way the car park is used.

Intellisense

Our Intellisense range of parking sensors are the new generation of wireless single-space technology. Not only are they highly accurate, but they are designed to suit the toughest weather conditions thrown at them. Our Intellisense sensor is flush mounted to allow for operation of snow plows.

Once installed, each Intellisense sensor monitors its parking space and wirelessly relays the data to Frogparking’s website for operators to view detailed information and run reports about the usage in their parking facility. Motorists are also relayed data via the app to assist in making informed decisions.

Solar Sensor

Frogparking’s solar powered sensors are ideal for on street, surface lots, or rooftops with high turnover. They are small and discreet, designed to blend into the surrounding environment. They are our environmentally friendly option, as they are completely powered by the sun, with no batteries at all.

While being small, the solar sensors casing has a rugged design that is built to last, with unparalleled levels of accuracy thanks to multiple methods of detecting when a car park is vacant or occupied. The sensor can be mounted on the road surface, or recessed into a small (100mm x 30mm depth) hole in the ground or car parking deck.

Hybrid Sensor

Frogparking’s Hybrid sensor is ideal for off street and longer duration parking areas, with lower levels of turnover. The Hybrid sensor is fitted with a small, solar rechargeable battery that can last up to 30 days without direct sunlight.

While being small, the hybrid sensors casing has a rugged design that is built to last, with unparalleled levels of accuracy thanks to multiple methods of detecting when a car park is vacant or occupied. The sensor can be mounted on the road surface, or recessed into a small (100mm x 30mm depth) hole in the ground or car parking deck.

Battery Sensor

Frogparking’s battery sensor consists of a non-rechargeable battery for use in areas where there is long-term parking like an airport car park, or a train station ‘park and ride’ facility. The sensor will operate for approximately five years without a battery change – the system automatically monitors its power levels and will advise when the sensor needs its battery replaced.

Just like the solar and hybrid sensors, the battery sensor has two mounting options – surface mount or flush mount.
