Frogparking is pleased to announce that it has been selected to deliver a refresh of Chadstone Shopping Centre’s parking guidance system.
Chadstone – The Fashion Capital is Australia’s largest shopping centre and a world-renowned fashion and entertainment hub for local and international visitors, located 17km (10 miles) from Melbourne, Australia’s central business district. An all-encompassing retail experience, Chadstone features over 550 stores, designer boutiques and over 30 luxury brands.
Frogparking was successful in its bid to install its complete parking solution covering more than 10,000 spaces across five parking precincts at Chadstone, which welcomes over 23 million customer visits per annum.
Frogparking CEO, Shareena Sandbrook, says Chadstone is one of the largest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere, and is Australasia’s premium retail property; it was fitting that Frogparking’s premium product had been selected to install at the site.
“Frogparking is pleased to expand our superb working relationship with Vicinity Centres. Frogparking has established itself as a stable and reliable technology partner for Vicinity after delivering at sites such as Carlingford Court and Oakleigh Central. To have been awarded their flagship site at Chadstone is a real validation of that,” says Sandbrook.
Frogparking will soon begin installing its patented laser indoor sensors, ultra-bright LED guidance lights and dynamic signage to clearly display occupancy to motorists at key decision points around the property and seamlessly guide them to the most convenient available parking space.
“For the majority of customers to Chadstone, ease of parking is the first impression they experience during their visit to the centre. Reducing friction and creating an environment that is simple to navigate and free of stress with Frogparking’s parking guidance, results in customers breezing into a car park, ready to engage with the world-class offer”, says Sandbrook.
Accurate guidance ensures the parking experience is better, faster and smarter for visitors to Chadstone, while also reducing congestion, the time it takes to enter a parking structure and the time to leave, says Sandbrook.
“Information about where parking is available is directly in front of the user from the moment they drive into the area, making it easy for them to identify parking where plenty of spaces are available. Once in an area, ultra-bright coloured LED guidance lights clearly identify where spaces are free.
“Included in the scope of the project is a mobile app which, when operational, will put parking availability in the hands of all visitors to Chadstone. Customers will be able to see where parking is most available and the current time to park in parts of the centre before they even start their journey”, says Shareena.
The installation will be completed in stages and is expected to be finished by the end of 2020.
