Frogparking Expands Partnership with the City of Livermore, Introducing a Custom Parking Mobile App
Frogparking is excited to announce the latest phase of our ongoing partnership with the City of Livermore, California. Known for its vibrant community, Livermore is home to over 90,000 residents and draws thousands of visitors each year. With a thriving wine country, cultural attractions, and annual events, parking demand has grown. In response, Livermore has worked closely with Frogparking to address these challenges using cutting-edge parking technology.
In May 2022, we introduced FrogMobile, a custom parking mobile app designed to improve parking management across the city. This mobile parking application provides real-time parking data, making it easy for drivers to find available parking spaces. It also highlights special parking zones like ADA mobility spaces and EV charging stations. By giving users live parking updates through their smartphones, FrogMobile simplifies the parking experience and enhances Livermore’s parking infrastructure.
New Installations Enhance Parking Management
In July 2023, Frogparking expanded the City of Livermore’s smart parking system by installing an indoor parking guidance system at the L Street Parking Garage. We integrated FrogSensors and FrogSigns to display live vacancy by level, providing clear information to drivers at key decision points. By August 2023, we completed the project with the installation of FrogCounters to monitor vehicle flow in real-time.
These parking solutions are now fully operational, improving the efficiency of two major parking structures in Livermore. Our vehicle counting system tracks entry and exit points and displays live availability for each level. Drivers can now easily find parking, reducing congestion and frustration.
Innovative Solutions for Livermore’s Unique Challenges
Livermore faced the challenge of managing parking demand while meeting the needs of all visitors. With Frogparking’s parking mobile app, the city now displays live parking availability, including ADA and EV spaces. Custom clusters within the app allow users to filter for special parking types, improving accessibility across the city.
