We are proud to say our solutions are designed and developed in both New Zealand and the United States. We may source hardware parts or materials from outside of New Zealand or the United States, however we try to source as much as possible locally to ensure control over the quality of our product.

Absolutely – check it out here! In a nutshell, at Frogparking, we take protecting your data seriously through a number of initiatives. We don’t hold your payment details; we don’t share your info (unless we need to in order to deliver your solution) & we don’t muck around with shabby cyber security systems either. We prioritise data security and use encryption and other industry-standard security measures to protect user data and transactions.
How does Frogparking's payment system work, and what payment methods are accepted?
Frogparking offers various payment options through Windcave technology, including mobile payments, credit cards, and contactless payment methods. Users can pay for parking conveniently through the Frogparking app or at designated payment kiosks.

I have seen on the news that some batteries used within the parking industry are unsafe - was Frogparking part of this?
Frogparking was not involved in this as we use LiFePO4. It is widely documented that our battery chemistry (lithium iron phosphate) is considerably safer than any other lithium tech. LiFePO4 are the safest type of lithium battery because they are not prone to overheating and even if they are punctured, they won’t catch fire. The cathode material is also non-hazardous and therefore it poses no environmental or negative health hazards.
Where is Frogparking based?
We are a truly global company – with representation in most regions. Our HQ is in a small city in New Zealand, called Palmerston North. We design and develop solutions inhouse. We source production materials predominately from the US & NZ.
Do you provide a parking guidance system?

Is it complicated to change parking management providers?
Not all all…it is one of our specialties as many of our solutions are compatible with existing technology. We understand that both hardware and software age differently, thats why our solutions can work in with existing third party product if required. Then, when the time is right, we are right there to support you through your next round of stress-free upgrades.
Does Frogparking have a way to handle site issues remotely, even if attendants are not on site?
That is the beauty of Frogparking. We are uniquely suited to address this by our world-class wireless communications, off site servers and cloud-based data network. We complete our software updates remotely and can access your system from anywhere, so are here to help, no matter your location. Not to mention, your own ability to do the same, so you have full control over your parking assets.
What is the best parking guidance technology?
LiDAR is far superior, and that’s why we use it. We could ‘harp on’ forever, but essentially, LiDAR is less susceptible to vibrations, ambient lighting & weather (like ultrasonic & camera-based parking guidance systems).
How does LiDAR work?
LiDAR sends out laser beams, which are like super-focused flashlight beams. These beams bounce off things like trees, buildings, or the ground. LiDAR measures how long it takes for the laser beams to come back. This tells us how far away things are. By doing this really fast and in many directions, LiDAR creates detailed 3D maps of the area it’s looking at. Hence, how it can tell if a vehicle is in a parking bay. It basically takes the car parking space monitoring system to the next level.
How does a car park monitoring system work?
Great question – it is a little bit complicated, and depends what solution you opt for. We would suggest you reach out to hi@frogparking.com for other use-case scenarios. For example, if you are looking for a Parking Access & Revenue Control System (PARCS) – it includes hardware such as a parking barrier arm, a parking payment kiosk & a License Plate Recognition camera. All of this links into an overall parking management software.

How if the FrogLPR (license plate reader) future-proofed?
We have the flexibility to adapt to impending changes. If there is a future law that prevents the storage of images, we can switch off that feature within literally one second. If the law changes mean we just have to be more restrictive on who can view images – we can do that too. Literally with a few clicks of a mouse. Another scenario would be if we could only store them for a limited time, then they had to be deleted, we could do that too.
