Car Park Sensors installed around the beautiful Calabasas town hall in a pilot installation.
Welcome to the beautiful City of Calabasas – home to over 20,000 residents, nestled in the San
Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. Positioned between the scenic foothills of the Santa
Monica and Santa Susana mountains, this idyllic City was on the lookout for innovative parking
solutions to optimize parking management using car park sensors.
With a lack of data, and limited parking policy information, the City of Calabasas knew the time
was right to invest in parking technology, specifically car park sensors alongside parking software,
to take the parking experience to the next level.
The first stage of the Frogparking x City of Calabasas partnership includes a pilot installation. This
includes an initial pilot of outdoor car park sensors to begin the creation of an automated parking
guidance system situated outside the City Hall.
This initial phase serves as a testbed to gather and evaluate crucial parking data. Furthermore, to provide parking analytics on demand, utilization and turnover. Consequently, providing real-time updates on availability to improve the parking experience for both residents and visitors.
The parking software that Frogparking offers empowers city officials to make informed business
decisions. Additionally, optimizing parking management strategies and improving overall urban
planning.
Watch this space, as we continue to roll out more than just car park sensors. Notably, new
developments are in the pipeline with the City over the next year.
